Clerk's April 2010 Staff Report <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />---------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />• Chokecherry Trees — The Park Commission will be selling Chokecherry Trees <br />with the hope of raising some money to be used for the playground equipment at <br />Trailside Park <br />Economic Development Commission <br />April 20th ....(Minutes are attached) The EDC discussed the economic development <br />section of the Comp Plan. They also discussed and reiterated their thoughts about the <br />Industrial Park. The EDC will be dedicating their May meeting to thoroughly review the <br />economic development section of the Comp Plan and will then forward their suggestions <br />to the Planning Commission. The EDC is also beginning the process of reviewing the <br />City's Business Subsidy Policy. Sheila Haverkamp will be assisting in this process. At <br />the April 20th meeting Sheila reviewed various economic development financing tools. <br />HRA Minutes <br />April 20t Meeting .... (Minutes are attached) <br />PROJECTS: <br />Health Insurance Committee .... (Notes from the meeting are attached) The Health <br />Insurance Committee met on April 9th. The Committee is in the process of gathering <br />information and will meet again in mid - summer. <br />Elections..... The County Auditor held an election meeting for City Clerks and election <br />officials. At this meeting new legislation was reviewed. <br />Tobacco/Liquor License Applications .... Applications for renewal of tobacco and liquor <br />applications have been mailed. <br />Other Items: <br />• Highway 371 Public Comment Period and Public hearing at the School <br />• West Lake Street Project — meetings regarding right -of -way issues <br />• Work Comp Audit <br />• Work with County and Nisswa Sanitation on SCORE Funding Request for 2010 <br />• Olson Street Discussions with School <br />• Safety Loss Control Workshop by LMC <br />Clerk's Staff <br />• Reports from the Clerk's staff are attached <br />
