MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br />City Clerk's Office <br />April, 2010 <br />Meetings <br />City Council Meetines <br />April 6th, Council Actions <br />• Appointed the Community Policing Committee <br />• Approved the Fire Contract for Service from the Nisswa Fire Department <br />• Approved the Fire Contract for Pequot Lakes Fire Department <br />• Approved a contribution of $500 to the Breezy Point Police Department for a <br />cardiac monitor <br />• Adopted a resolution vacating a portion of Front Street <br />• Approved an amendment to the MOA relating to the Pine River Depot and <br />Highway 371 <br />• Moved to support a grant request to USDA for the Library <br />• Approved the BLADC Agreement for 2010 <br />• Adopted Ordinance 10 -04 relating to non - conforming structures <br />• Approved the grow zone overlay map <br />`- • Reappointed Bill Habein and Tom Adams to the Planning Commission <br />• Approved the 2010 -2011 Police /School Contract <br />• Moved to review the position of Sergeant in one year <br />• Redesignated $16,330 in capital outlay funds for the purpose of upgrading the <br />sidewalk at city hall and/or replacing the roof at the Cole Memorial Building <br />• Authorized advertisement for bids for the West Lake Street Project <br />• Approved assignment of tax abatement agreement for the SuperValu store <br />• Approved a fitness room policy <br />• Approved a $25 license fee for a temporary expansion of liquor premise license <br />Meetings <br />Park Commission <br />April 8th Meeting .... (Minutes are attached) The Park Board is working on the <br />following projects: <br />• Gazebo in Trailside Park — There is information in the Council packet on this <br />item. <br />• Playground Equipment for Trailside Park — A committee has been formed but has <br />not yet met to discuss the project. <br />• Playground Equipment for Gildner Park — The playground equipment has been <br />chosen. The Park Commission is requesting to use park dedication funds to <br />complete this park project. <br />
