MONTHLY STAFF REPORT City Clerk's Office April, 2010 Meetings City Council Meetines April 6th, Council Actions • Appointed the Community Policing Committee • Approved the Fire Contract for Service from the Nisswa Fire Department • Approved the Fire Contract for Pequot Lakes Fire Department • Approved a contribution of $500 to the Breezy Point Police Department for a cardiac monitor • Adopted a resolution vacating a portion of Front Street • Approved an amendment to the MOA relating to the Pine River Depot and Highway 371 • Moved to support a grant request to USDA for the Library • Approved the BLADC Agreement for 2010 • Adopted Ordinance 10 -04 relating to non - conforming structures • Approved the grow zone overlay map `- • Reappointed Bill Habein and Tom Adams to the Planning Commission • Approved the 2010 -2011 Police /School Contract • Moved to review the position of Sergeant in one year • Redesignated $16,330 in capital outlay funds for the purpose of upgrading the sidewalk at city hall and/or replacing the roof at the Cole Memorial Building • Authorized advertisement for bids for the West Lake Street Project • Approved assignment of tax abatement agreement for the SuperValu store • Approved a fitness room policy • Approved a $25 license fee for a temporary expansion of liquor premise license Meetings Park Commission April 8th Meeting .... (Minutes are attached) The Park Board is working on the following projects: • Gazebo in Trailside Park — There is information in the Council packet on this item. • Playground Equipment for Trailside Park — A committee has been formed but has not yet met to discuss the project. • Playground Equipment for Gildner Park — The playground equipment has been chosen. The Park Commission is requesting to use park dedication funds to complete this park project.
