MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> The City Council expressed their gratitude to the EDC for taking on this <br /> project. <br /> 10.2 Heartland Cable Commission Franchise Fee Distribution <br /> , <br /> Nancy Malecha informed the Council that the City received a check in the <br /> amount of$4,731 from the Heartland Cable Gommission as a franchise <br /> fee distribution. Ms. Malecha recommended tfie City commit this money <br /> for future Trailside Park projects which has been done in the past. , <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO COMMIT THE <br /> HEARTLAND CABLE COMMISSION FRANCHISE FEE DISTRIBUTION '', <br /> IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,731 FOR THE TRAILSIDE PARK PROJECT. � <br /> MAYOR ADAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> i <br /> 10.3 Ordinance Amendmer�t ' <br /> Nancy Malecha informed the Council that the City Code regarding �' <br /> regulating and licensing the sale of liquor within the City does not currently <br /> address brew pubs, brewers, taprooms, growlers, and microdistilleries � <br /> which seem to be growing in popularity. Ms. Malecha noted that the � <br /> ordinance amendment presented tonight incorporates these new i <br /> definitions of licenses, increases the number of allowable off sale liquor I <br /> licenses from two to four, and changes the license requirements next to � <br /> churches and schools. <br /> Council Member Pederson questioned if the churches have been notified <br /> of this potential change. Nancy Malecha stated that the churches have <br /> not been notified but the pending ordinance amendment is on the City's <br /> website. <br /> Council Member Pederson questioned the catalyst for this ordinance <br /> amendment. Nancy Malecha stated that she received an inquiry to add <br /> definitions of liquor establishments allowed in the City. <br />
