Call Meetinq to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chair Jurchen at 8:02 a.m. and <br /> introduced Tom Paulbeck, a Financial Planner with First National Bank. <br /> 2. Approve EDC Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER LINDHOLM MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEBRUARY <br /> 27, 2018 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES. <br /> COMMISSIONER RIECK SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 3. Schematic Lavouts for Development South of Business Park <br /> Chad Conner explained the 3 concepts for development south of the <br /> Business Park. <br /> Justin Burslie explained the Planning Commission had reviewed the 3 <br /> concepts. The proposed uses will dictate what the parcels will need to be <br /> rezoned to. The third layout with the through street was the preferred <br /> layout. One Planning Commission member felt placing the ballfields in the <br /> southem parcel was not walkable from the residential areas of the City. <br /> Chair Jurchen explained the EDC has discussed having a campus style <br /> development versus a light industrial use. He has been notified of a <br /> remote prospect needing a 10,000— 15,000 square foot building with light <br /> industrial use with some exterior testing of their product The business <br /> owner has contacted BLAEDC to expand their business.
