The City has approved our fire contract with Popular Township. The contract will take �. affect on May 1, 2010. We will try to get out there and do some looking around so we have some idea of what to expect in case of a call. There will be a special first arrival officer training next week on Wednesday and Thursday from 6 pm to 9 pm each night. Bill and Tasha cleaned the kitchen cupboards and labeled some of the doors. John Hayes repaired the leaky valve on Tanker 1. Thanks to these fine fire fighters. The six inch air valves on the rear and side of Engine 1 open and close very slowly. Be aware of this if you run the pump. The City Council has approved our use of the newly planned exercise room vacated by the library group. We have use of it for one year and then the situation will be evaluated. A cord reel was also placed in the generator compartment on Engine 2 with the new generator. The polar plunge will take place this coming Saturday in Breezy Point. There are some fire fighters helping with the event. Tassha's son was here tonight taking pledges if any can help him raise funds. Larry mentioned a plan for natural gas lines in our fire hall. The plan called for a manifold to be located down near floor level with several valves and quick coupler hose hook ups for our grills. The cost would be approximately $385.00. Warner motioned to approve the plan, second by Casanova, motion passed. An Officer's meeting is planned for next Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Air pack #21 is out of service tonight with a regulator problem.
