City Council Minutes March 6, 2018 Page 3 of 8 ----------------------------- The February 27, 2018 Planning Commission Report and February 15, 2018 draft Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment Meeting minutes were received by Council. 6.2. Rezone Reauest Dawn Bittner presented an ordinance amendment for a rezone request received from Charles B. Peterson. Mr. Peterson is proposing to rezone 2.9 acres of a 26.7 acre parcel from Forest Management to Commercial and the remainder of the parcel to be rezoned to Rural Residential. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE ORDINANCE 18-02 AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 18-02. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 6.3. Preliminarv Plat of Charliewood Dawn Bittner presented a proposal from Charles B. Peterson to subdivide property along Hurtig Road into five residential lots with one shared outlot. The Planning Commission is unanimously recommending the City Council approve the Preliminary Plat of Charliewood based on the 13 Findings of Fact and 7 Conditions. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO APPROVE THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF CHARLIEWOOD BASED ON THE 13 FINDINGS OF FACT AND 7 CONDITIONS AS PRESENTED. MAYOR ADAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0 6.4 Ordinance Amendment Dawn Bittner presented an ordinance amendment regarding fence height in the Urban Residential and Downtown Mixed Use zones. The Planning Commission is unanimously recommending the City Council approve this ordinance amendment. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO APPROVE ORDINANCE 18-03 AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY CODE REGARDING FENCES. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0
