Mr. Derksen is claiming his remaining snowmobiles are not required to be <br /> "licensed" since they are "registered" as "collector snowmobiles" and are not <br /> required to be stored within a structure or screened. <br /> Council Action Requested: If the Council wishes not to allow exterior storage of <br /> snowmobiles, such as is occumng on the Derksen property, it will be necessary to <br /> amend Section 17-7.5. Options for amendments to the code would be to prohibit <br /> all exterior storage of recreational equipment, whether licensed, registered or <br /> otherwise pernutted or not, or to establish a maximum number of pieces of <br /> recreational equipment that may be stored outside a proper enclosure. Depending <br /> on the Council's direction, staff will work with the City Attorney to prepare any <br /> requested ordinance amendment for the Planning Commission's consideration at <br /> its April 18, 2018 meeting. <br />
