Staff noted that it would be permanent. Ms. Peterson <br />questioned if they will continue to receive the same fire and police <br />services. Staff stated that they would continue to receive the same <br />services as before. Mr. Peterson questioned if the vacation would change <br />the market value of their property. The City Engineer indicated that the <br />County Assessor sets the land value and suggested that they check with <br />the County. <br />There being no further comments, Mayor Adams closed the public <br />hearing. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 10 -10 <br />VACATING A PORTION OF FRONT STREET. COUNCIL MEMBER <br />MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />5.3.A. Amendment to MOA Regarding Pine River Depot <br />Jim Hallgren stated that MnDOT is requesting new signatures on a revised <br />MOA regarding the Pine River Depot. He explained that this agreement <br />was first adopted in 2005 and then amended in 2009. The 2009 <br />`.. amendment was never fully executed by MnDOT and therefore, the <br />Minnesota State Preservation Office is requesting that it be resigned with <br />a few amendments relating to the Pine River Depot. Jim Hallgren stated <br />that this next amendment is very minor and will have no affect on the City <br />of Pequot Lakes. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br />AMENDMENT TO THE MOA AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY TO SIGN <br />THE DOCUMENT. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />5.3.13. Update on Municipal Consent Process <br />Jim Hallgren gave the Council an update on the municipal consent <br />process. The comment period for the draft supplemental final EIS for the <br />realignment will close on April 16. Mr. Hallgren stated that two public <br />hearings were held and that 50 comments were received. All comments <br />will be addressed in the final EIS. Mr. Hallgren stated that the final <br />document is scheduled to be released sometime in May and the ROD <br />(Record of Decision) is expected to be completed mid to end of June. He <br />stated that the next step would then be municipal consent. <br />11.—.. <br />
