Ms. Peterson questioned if they will continue to receive the same fire and police services. Staff stated that they would continue to receive the same services as before. Mr. Peterson questioned if the vacation would change the market value of their property. The City Engineer indicated that the County Assessor sets the land value and suggested that they check with the County. There being no further comments, Mayor Adams closed the public hearing. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 10 -10 VACATING A PORTION OF FRONT STREET. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. 5.3.A. Amendment to MOA Regarding Pine River Depot Jim Hallgren stated that MnDOT is requesting new signatures on a revised MOA regarding the Pine River Depot. He explained that this agreement was first adopted in 2005 and then amended in 2009. The 2009 `.. amendment was never fully executed by MnDOT and therefore, the Minnesota State Preservation Office is requesting that it be resigned with a few amendments relating to the Pine River Depot. Jim Hallgren stated that this next amendment is very minor and will have no affect on the City of Pequot Lakes. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO APPROVE THE AMENDMENT TO THE MOA AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY TO SIGN THE DOCUMENT. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. 5.3.13. Update on Municipal Consent Process Jim Hallgren gave the Council an update on the municipal consent process. The comment period for the draft supplemental final EIS for the realignment will close on April 16. Mr. Hallgren stated that two public hearings were held and that 50 comments were received. All comments will be addressed in the final EIS. Mr. Hallgren stated that the final document is scheduled to be released sometime in May and the ROD (Record of Decision) is expected to be completed mid to end of June.
