City Council Minutes <br /> February 5,2018 <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> Council Member Akerson questioned what prompted the research. Ms. <br /> Bittner explained that the City received a complaint and the Council <br /> directed the Planning Commission to look into it. <br /> Council Member Swanson questioned what the City will do about the <br /> complaints. Ms. Bittner stated they would be handled on a case by case <br /> basis. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-1. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON OPPOSED. <br /> 7. Fire <br /> The December 2017 Fire Department Operations Report was received by <br /> Council. <br /> 7.1. ReQuest to Purchase Eauipment <br /> Fire Chief Tom Nelson requested approval to purchase a Kubota side by <br /> side AN and utility trailer using donated funds. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> PURCHASE OF A KUBOTA SIDE BY SIDE AN FROM QUALITY <br /> EQUIPMENT IIV THE AMOUNT OF $14,495 AND A TANDEM <br /> ALUMINUM TRAILER FROM THE DOCK SHOP IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $2,727 TO BE PAID FOR BY DONATIONS RECEIVED. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Pederson inquired if the Fire Department received quotes <br /> from other manufacturers. Chief Nelson explained they checked with <br /> three manufacturers from the State bid website and they are <br /> recommending the Kubota AN due to the hydrostatic transmission. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 8. Police Department Report <br /> The December 2017 Police Department Report was received by Council. <br /> 8.1. Police Department Annual Report <br /> The 2017 Police Department Annual Report was received by Council. <br /> 9. Public Works <br />
