center line grade shall be erected on a corner lot within a triangular area defined <br /> as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the projected property lines of two <br /> intersecting streets, twenty (20) feet along one property line and diagonally to a <br /> point twenty(20)feet from the point of beginning on the other property line. <br /> 3. Construction. The "good side" of the fence shall face abutting properties, <br /> meaning that the posts shall face in toward the property on which the fence sits <br /> and the finished face of the fence shall face abutting properties. <br /> 4. Height. Height is regulated for each district in Article 5. <br /> 5. Maintenance. Fences shall be maintained to retain their aesthetic quality, <br /> screening abilities, and function. Missing boards, rusting wire and posts, and <br /> peeling paint shall be taken care of at the owner's expense as they occur. If the <br /> fence is within two feet of a property line, the adjoining property awner abutting <br /> the fence is allowed to finish the side of the fence facing their property. <br /> City Code regarding Fences in the rural residential zone: <br /> Section 1�-5.b RURAL RFSIDF,NTIAT,(RR� <br /> S. Fences. Fences not exceeding 72 inches in height may be <br /> constructed. Under no circumstances shall a fence be constructed <br /> closer than 10 feet from the surface of a public road and in a11 cases <br /> not within the public right-of-way. Materials sha11 consist of usual <br /> fencing materials with posts and fence of inetal,wood, concrete, <br /> brick or smooth wire. Barbed or electrified wire is not to be used <br /> where frequent human contact is anticipated. <br /> The subject property owners will be required to remedy the situation by 1) Removing the <br /> horses from the property, 2) Obtaining a conditional use permit for one horse (and <br /> removing one horse from the property), or 3) Obtaining a variance to exceed the <br /> maximum number of animal units allowed in the Rural Residential Zone and obtaining a <br /> conditional use permit for"animal husbandry." <br /> The fencing meets the minimum requirements of the city code.
