2. Livestock. <br /> A. Livestock may be raised as provided in Zoning Districts with proper <br /> permits provided that the standards of each District are not <br /> compromised. <br /> B. Livestock shall be properly cared for, shall not create problems for <br /> neighbors or the City and shall have sanitary standards maintained <br /> consistent with Section 1�-�.�(3). <br /> Formula to Determine Number of Animals: <br /> Animal Unit X Acres = Number of Animal Units Allowed <br /> �,X g.5 acres = �.75 Animal Units Allowed <br /> The number of animals that could be allowed using the Animal Units above: <br /> �slaughter weight steer or heifer; or <br /> �mature dairy cow or horse (with CUP); or <br /> 4 swine; or <br /> 1�sheep; or <br /> ��geese or chickens. <br /> Fences <br /> I understand you are unhappy with the construction of the wooden fence. The City Code <br /> does not specifically state how a fence is to be constructed. It states, "Materials shall <br /> consist of usual fencing materials with posts and fence of inetal,wood, concrete,brick or <br /> smoofih wire." The fence meets the requirements of city code. I have enclosed photos of <br /> the fence. <br /> City Code regarding Fences: <br /> Section 1�-7.3 FENCES <br /> i. Safety Hazards.Fences shall not be erected where they create a visual safety <br /> hazard in the opinion of the Zoning Administrator. Fences shall not be electrified <br /> or contain barbed wire except in areas where contact with the general public is not <br /> anticipated. <br /> 2. Location and Orientation.All boundary line fences shall be entirely located <br /> upon the property of the person constructing such fence unless the owner of the <br /> property adjoining agrees, in writing, that such fence may be erected on the <br /> division line of the respective properties. Fences on property lines will require a <br /> survey to determine location. Fences may not be placed within a shore or bluff <br /> impact zone. No fence or planting in excess of thirty(go) inches above the street <br />
