The care of horses in the rural residential
zone requires approval of a Conditional Use Permit(CUP). In addition, due to the size
of your property, only one horse would be allowed through the CUP. To remedy the
situation I suggest the following as options:
1. Remove the horses;
2. Apply for a CUP for one horse; or
3. Obtain a variance to exceed the maximum number of animal units allowed in the
"rural residential zone"and obtain a conditional use permit for"animal
husbandry."
Please contact me upon receipt of this letter to discuss these options. I can be reached at
(2i8) 568-6699 or dbittnerCu?pequotlakes-mn.gov. Your decision of which option to
follow is due within the next twenty(20) days.
Sincerely,
Dawn Bittner
Zoning Specialist
C: Planning Commission
Nancy Malecha, City Administrator
"This in.scitzstzon zr an equal opponunity providc^ctnd encplayer.„
