I will break <br /> your concerns into sections in hopes of making them more well-defined. <br /> Animal Husbandry in the rural residential zone <br /> The subject property is zoned "Rural Residential" and is 3.5 acres in size. "Animal <br /> husbandry" (defined below) is allowed in the "rural residential" zone with a conditional <br /> use permit. <br /> As per Section i�-5.6 "Rural Residential (RR)" (below), .5 animal units are allowed per <br /> acre(3.5 x .5= 1.75 animal units) on the subject property(with a conditional use permit). <br /> The ordinance allows the property to have any combination of animals up to i.75 animal <br /> units (definition below) on the subject property. A horse is considered �.4 animal units <br /> and so a maximum of one horse is allowed on the subject property(with a conditional use <br /> permit). <br /> Definitions: <br /> 13. Animals, Food. Fish, fowl, cattle,swine, sheep and others raised for the <br /> purposes of food consumption. <br /> i�. Animal Husbandry. The care or breeding of domestic animals such as <br /> cattle,hogs, sheep, horses,poultry,for the occupants of a property. <br /> i8. Animal Unit.
