Chief Klang stated that through a grant from NJPA, the Crow Wing County Emergency Management is waiting for approval from the FAA to get this program up and running. E. Public Works Mike Loven presented the project priorities for the Public Works Department. • Keep up with the City Council and Park Commission's priority items and provide the necessary oversight. • Hire and train the new Public Works employee. • Update pavement evaluations. • Update the capital improvement plan. • Work on the Akerson Road overlay. F. Library Melissa Birch presented fihe project priorities for the Library. • Paving of the north parking lot with permeable pavement. • Develop an annual strategic long-term planning process. • Needs assessment of a staffed librarian. Tyler Glynn questioned if there were any long term goals that any of the departments had and would like to discuss. Mayor Adams mentioned there will be a need for a part time Librarian position in the future. Mark Jurchen added that it is important that everyone work together toward the vision for the future of Pequot Lakes. Craig Nagel questioned who will be responsible for decisions about the Fire Tower. Nancy Malecha stated that Crow Wing County will be taking the lead on the Fire Tower property at this time. 4. Adiournment There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADJOURN. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
