Chief Klang stated that through a grant from <br /> NJPA, the Crow Wing County Emergency Management is waiting <br /> for approval from the FAA to get this program up and running. <br /> E. Public Works <br /> Mike Loven presented the project priorities for the Public Works <br /> Department. <br /> • Keep up with the City Council and Park Commission's <br /> priority items and provide the necessary oversight. <br /> • Hire and train the new Public Works employee. <br /> • Update pavement evaluations. <br /> • Update the capital improvement plan. <br /> • Work on the Akerson Road overlay. <br /> F. Library <br /> Melissa Birch presented fihe project priorities for the Library. <br /> • Paving of the north parking lot with permeable pavement. <br /> • Develop an annual strategic long-term planning process. <br /> • Needs assessment of a staffed librarian. <br /> Tyler Glynn questioned if there were any long term goals that any of the <br /> departments had and would like to discuss. <br /> Mayor Adams mentioned there will be a need for a part time Librarian <br /> position in the future. <br /> Mark Jurchen added that it is important that everyone work together <br /> toward the vision for the future of Pequot Lakes. <br /> Craig Nagel questioned who will be responsible for decisions about the <br /> Fire Tower. Nancy Malecha stated that Crow Wing County will be taking <br /> the lead on the Fire Tower property at this time. <br /> 4.
