Call Meeting to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chair Jurchen at 8:00 a.m. <br /> 2. Approve EDC Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER RIECK MOVED TO APPROVE THE NOVEMBER 21, <br /> 2017 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES. <br /> COMMISSIONER LINDHOLM SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 3. Broadband/Fiber Optic Needs Assessment <br /> a. Community Broadband Infrastructure & Services Assessment Tool <br /> Chair Jurchen pointed out information had been included in the meeting materials on <br /> two surveys. The first survey would look at what is available in the community and <br /> the other is available online on Survey Monkey for business owners to complete. <br /> The Commission reviewed the Community Broadband Infrastructure and Services <br /> Assessment Tool with a score of 24. <br /> Mr. Coleman staxed this score is typical for communities the size of Pequot Lakes <br /> with a provider mix. Most people don't have the accessibility they need. <br /> b. Survey&deadline <br /> Chair Jurchen pointed out the second survey of the businesses is set up on Survey <br /> Monkey. We are looking to find out what people need and have. Bob Perkins stated <br /> the EDC will gain a perception and line up with reality. <br /> Nancy Malecha stated the survey link was a preview. She will work with Ann from <br /> Blandin Foundation to finalize the questions and will provide the new link. Each <br />
