COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 3.1 Citv Council Minutes �I Mayor Adams requested amending the November 7, 2017 Regular City Council Minutes as noted below. Council Member Swanson inquired why Wild{ife Trail has not been declared a City road. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 4. Open Forum Shannon Schmidt, 31068 Pine Street, addressed the Council. Mr. Schmidt explained that his family is interested in opening up an off sale liquvr/convenience store on their property located on Gravdahl Drive. Ms. Malecha explained the current City ordinance for an off sale liquor license stafies that no establishment can be located within 500 feet of a school or church. Mr. Schmidt asked for clarification of the 500 feet. Ms. Malecha explained that the distance is to be measured from the closest side of the school or church property to the closest side of the structure on the premises within which liquor will be sold. Council Member Akerson inquired if the ordinance can be changed or a variance can be made. Mayor Adams suggested the City not make a change since a business owner was denied an off sale license in the past due to this ordinance stipulation.
