Call Meetin�to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m. <br /> Z. Task Force Updates <br /> Economy—Mark Jurchen updated the Committee on the following. <br /> • Signage information on the Highway 371 expressway and Patriot Avenue. <br /> • A new draft logo for The Heart of the Good Life was displayed and the Economy Task <br /> Force will continue to make revisions and present this to the City Council for approval in <br /> December. <br /> • A video highlighting Pequot Lakes and the painting of the white water tower are being <br /> explored for 2018. <br /> • Fiber optic is installed in the Business Park and Bill Coleman from the Blandin <br /> Foundation has been retained to assist in the surveying of the business sector on <br /> broadband/fiber optic needs. <br /> Quality of Life—Molly Zins noted the Bernick Foundation Grant application is being compiled <br /> and will be submitted for the Hike Bike Ski Pequot Project mapping tool. The Grant amount <br /> requested for this Project is$20,000. <br /> Workforce—Chris Lindholm noted the Patriot Foundation had their third training session and <br /> they are still recruiting members to serve on the Advisory Board. <br /> 3. Task Force Discussion <br /> Nancy Malecha reviewed the worksheet compiled with information from the task forces relating <br /> to fundraising projects, money raised, resources,decision makers engaged,volunteer hours, <br /> specific goals,specific stakeholders, internal communication strategies,and external <br /> communication strategies. <br /> Committee discussion ensued as to how this information can continue to be utilized as a helpful <br /> tool in providing information for task forces to alleviate duplication. Ms. Malecha noted that <br /> this information should continually be updated and will remain as a recurring item on the <br /> agenda. <br />
