Cary of
-
Pequott
Lakes—
AGENDA ITEM #10.3
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Date: January 5, 2010
Subject: Infrastructure Planning Workshop
Report: Staff would like to hold a joint special meeting of
the City Council and the Planning Commission to discuss
`- the planning of future utility extensions. One of the main
reasons for this meeting is to minimize the need for the
City Council to make decisions regarding extension of
water and sewer services on a development by
development, or parcel by parcel, basis instead of looking
at the bigger picture. Tim Houle has put together the
following draft agenda for this meeting:
A. Acknowledgment that the City's present water treatment and wastewater
treatment facility's capacities will handle redevelopment and growth in the
foreseeable planning window. [Planning & Zoning, Finance, and Infrastructure]
B. A general, big picture depiction of where existing sanitary sewer collection
and water distribution is presently. [Infrastructure]
C. What does the Planning Commission (and others) see in the way of the
density of future land use — both redevelopment of existing developed areas and
future development areas? [Planning & Zoning]
`..
