MINUTES <br /> PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING COMMI�SION/ <br /> BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> OCTOBER i9, 2oi� <br /> PRESENT: Bill Habein, Mark Hallan (Vice-Chair), Mark Mortenson,Wesley Wilson <br /> and Brian Wallin. ABSENT: Todd Engels (Chair) and Nathan Norton <br /> CITY PLANNER: Justin Burslie <br /> ZONING SPECIALIST: Dawn Bittner <br /> COUNCL LIAISON: Absent <br /> The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chair Hallan at 6:0o FM. <br /> A motion was made by Planning Commission Member Habein, seconded by <br /> Planning Commission Member Mortenson,to open the Public Hearing. All <br /> Members voted"aye". Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING: <br /> APPLICANr: Christopher Holmes, dba Graphic Element LLC <br /> Applicant requests a Conditional Use Permit to Operate a Printing Business <br /> in the Downtown Mixed Use District <br /> Mr. Burslie e�lained the Staff Report. Applicant was present. <br /> Public comment: None. <br /> Planning Commission Member Habein stated this business would be an asset for the <br /> location. Planning Commission Member Mortenson stated this business is a good <br /> addition to Pequot Lakes and the appearance of the area has already improved. <br /> Planning Commission Members Wilson and Wallin concurred. <br /> Mr. Burslie stated the Planning Commission may want to consider rewording Condition <br /> Number i to state that applicant shall have no more than a combination of 5 vehicles, <br /> trucks,trailers, etc. parked outside while having work performed thereon. <br /> Vice-Chair Hallan inquired about the hours of operation and asked Mr. Holmes if he <br /> anticipated abnormal hours of operation. Mr. Holmes states he may be working late <br /> some nights but the work would be performed inside the building.
