I
Public Comment Closed.
Planning Commission Member Hallan asked for clarification of Condition Number
which states parking of trucks and trailers shall be along the north and south property ,
lines. The north property line currently is treed and Candition Number 2 states no
existing trees shall be removed. Condrtion 1Vumber 1 should indicate trucks shall be ,
parked along the south edge of the existing trees along the north property line.
Planning Commission Member Habein asked if the screening could be shared by the
City, the property owner to the west, and thepplicant. Mr. Burslie stated the Planning
Commission needs to just review ths property. We can't require adjacent properties to
screen. This is the time to address the screening for the use on this property.
Mr. Schoeb inquired how many trees per foot are required. There are saplings along the
north property line that could be moeed. Mr. Burslie stated typically there is a planted
height of 6 feet tall within 2 years. There may be twenty 6-foot trees required. Planning
Commission Member Wallin stated the distance along the west property line currently
without trees is i2o feet. Mr. Burslie stated i2 trees would need to be planted.
Mr. Schoeb asked what the timeframe would be to have them planted. Planning
Commission Member Hallan stated we need to allow sufficient time for the planting to
take place, possibly an 8 or g month period.
It was the consensus of the Planning Commission that Condition Number 4 shall be a
maximum of 25 rental trucks/trailers allowed and Condition Numbershall require a
total of twelve 6-foot evergreen trees shall be planted along the south i2o feet of the
west property line.
MINUTES 2
Pequot Lakes Planning Commission
October9, 20
