FEBRUARY 1, 2011 PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> 11.1. Wildlife Trail <br /> Council Member Akerson stated that he received a call from Wendy Ulrich who informed him <br /> that she was vehemently opposed to the assessment project.Tim Houle stated that he had been <br /> asked to research the statute regarding the special assessment process; specifically whether <br /> private citizens can get a quote on a project that may be an assessment project.Tim Houle <br /> indicated that City's are required to follow the statute and there are specific processes and <br /> procedures required to get public bids. <br /> The Council discussed the probability of the project proceeding and consented to discontinue <br /> the project. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO RESCIND RESOLUTION 10-33,ORDERING THE <br /> IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS FOR THE WILDLIFE TRAIL IMPROVEMENT <br /> PROJECT.COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO NOT PROCEED WITH THE WILDLIFE TRAIL PROJECT. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />
