City Council Minutes <br /> October 3, 2017 <br /> Page 7 of 10 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> Sergeant Turcotte explained the elective trainings the full-time officers <br /> attend and the importance of these trainings for the community. <br /> The consensus of the Council agreed to accept a $10,000 reduction in the <br /> Police Department's 2018 Preliminary Budget which does not include the <br /> $10,000 reduction in wages and benefits. <br /> 10.2.A.Personnel Committee Recommendation-Personnel Policy Revision <br /> Nancy Malecha stated the Personnel Committee is recommending <br /> approval of the Personnel Policies revision and requested Council <br /> consideration on adjusting the City's sick leave payout upon separation <br /> based on information from neighboring cities. <br /> The consensus of the Council agreed to remain status qua on the City's <br /> sick leave payout upon separation. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION <br /> 17-32 ADOPTING PERSONNEL POLICIES. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 10.2.B.Personnel Committee Recommendafion-Revised Job Descriptions <br /> Nancy Malecha presented the Personnel Committee's recommendation <br /> for approval of the following job description revisions, job point changes, <br /> promotions, and effective dates. <br /> City Administrator <br /> • Job description revision effective 1-1-18 with no change in job <br /> points. <br /> City Clerk/Treasurer <br /> • Job descrip#ion revision effective 1-1-18 with a change in job points. <br /> • Promote Deb Marty from Deputy City Clerk step 4 to City <br /> ClerklTreasurer step 1 effective 1-1-18 with a six month <br /> probationary period. <br /> Administrative Assistant <br /> • Job description revision effective 1-1-18 with no change in job <br /> points. <br /> Zoning Specialist <br /> • Job description revision effective 1-1-18 with a job point revision <br /> from 251 to 260. <br />
