Garden at South End of Trailside Park Mike Loven noted that the garden at the south end of Trailside Park was not taken care of again this year; this has been an issue for the past 5 years. COMMISSIONER GRAHAM MOVED TO REMOVE THE PLANTS AND PLANT WITH GRASS SEED AFTER OCTOBER 1, 2017. COMMISSIONER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 9. Trailblazing Sign for poA Park Dawn Bittner explained the City is developing a policy for Trailblazing Signs along Patriot Avenue. The Dog Park did not qualify under MN/DOT's criteria but it may be included in the City criteria. It was the consensus of the Park Commission to budget for a Trailblazing Sign for the Dog Park. 10. Other Business � Chair Ronning noted he had received the 2017 Budget from staff and offered to share it with the other members. He found it interesting what all was included in their budget. He asked staff to provide the amount budgeted for the brochures. Dog Park Tree —they will be planted in the fall. Paint New Water Tower— Mr. Loven stated the cost would be approximately $20,000 to repaint the water tower to resemble a bobber. The Park Commission agreed to not pursue this. It was the consensus of the Park Commission the City could be "over-bobbered" Smoking at Playground — Commissioner Pearson stated people are using the ash tray and that there is probably no good resolution. The water spigot near the Playground is potable water. 10. Adjournment There being no further business, COMISSIONER GRAHAM MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMISSIONER BRYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. �' The meeting adjourned at 5:58 p.m.
