Roundabouts Landscapinq - Update <br /> Commissioner Sjoblad contacted a Master Gardener who suggested the City <br /> contact Crow Wing County Soil and Water for suggestions. There may be grants <br /> available. One thing to keep in mind is volunteers to maintain the areas and <br /> consistency in the maintenance long term. <br /> Mayor Adams suggested contacting MN/DOT to see what they plant in their <br /> roundabouts. <br /> Chair Ronning explained the bobber made out of a propane tank at Lakes Gas. <br /> The bobber could be placed in the middle of the roundabouts. Commissioner <br /> Pearson had reservations regarding the scale; the size of the roundabout and the <br /> bobber may look silly. <br /> Mayor Adams had contacted Tim Leagjeld for input. He will think about it and <br /> contact her with ideas. <br /> It was the consensus of the Park Commission to pursue a plan with the bobber <br /> tank. <br /> � Dawn Bittner noted the City Council will be appointing a Highway 371 Landscape <br /> Plan Committee and asked for volunteers. Chair Ronning and Commissioners <br /> Graham and Bryan volunteered. <br /> Commissioner Graham noted there is a plateau at the intersection of County <br /> Road 168 and State Highway 371. It is an eyesore and may need to be <br /> landscaped. <br /> 6. Skate Park— Update <br /> Mayor Adams explained the location for a temporary skate park would be on the <br /> dead end street in front of the Chair at Bobber Park. The City's insurance agent <br /> confirmed the equipment met city standards. The pavement is rough and may <br /> need an overlay and a barrier may need to be placed along Patriot Avenue. <br /> COMMISSIONER NAGEL MOVED TO SUPPORT THE TEMPORARY SKATE <br /> PARK LOCATION ON THE STREET IN FRONT OF BOBBER PARK. <br /> COMMISSIONER JURCHEN SECONDED THE MOTION.
