City Council Minutes <br /> September 5, 2017 <br /> Page 4 of 10 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> The August 21, 2017 Planning Commission Report and August 17, 2017 <br /> draft Planning Commission Meeting minutes were received by Council. <br /> 6.2. Trailblazing Siqn Policy <br /> Dawn Bittner presented the Trailblazing Sign Policy that the Planning <br /> Commission is recommending for adoption. <br /> Council discussion ensued as to where the placement of signs will be. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO AFF{RM THE PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION TO ADC}PT TtiE TRAILBLAZING <br /> SIGN POLICY AND APPLICATION. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.3. City Propertv Comqlaint <br /> Dawn Bittner presented complaints from .tack Schmidt at the August 17tn <br /> Planning Commission meeting which includes the un-mowed Field of <br /> Dreams park area, the un-mowred City owned {ot in the Business Park, <br /> and the existing brush pile north af City Hall. <br /> It was noted that the Park Commission discussed the Field of Dreams <br /> park area in 2011 and moved to cantinue planting trees in the Park to <br /> create a natural buffer between the homes and the road as was intended. <br /> There are hundreds of trees, seedlings, wildflowers, and native grasses <br /> that are growing in the park area. The pile of brush will be burned when <br /> there is adequate snow cover and a new location will be utilized in the <br /> future. <br /> M�4YOR ADAMS MOVED TO HAVE THE CITY OWNED LOT IN THE <br /> BUSfNESS PARK MOWED ONCE PER MONTH MAY THROUGH � <br /> SEPTEMBER. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-2. COUNCIL MEMBERS PEDERSON <br /> AND LOUKOTA OPPOSED. <br /> 7. Fire <br /> The July and August 2017 Fire Department Operation Reports and the <br /> July 26, 2017 Fire Board Meeting Minutes were received by Council. <br /> 9. Public Works <br /> 9.1. Ordinance Amendment— City Cemetery <br />
