Highway 371 Landscape Planning Committee Nancy Malecha asked the Council to consider appointing a Highway 371 Landscape Planning Committee to facilitate in the discussions with MnDOT for the landscape plantings that will begin in the spring of 2019. Ms. Malecha added that $300,000 has been budgeted for the landscaping of the entire Highway 371 Expansion Project area. Administration The following items were received by Council. • August 10, 2017 draft Park Commission minutes • August 15, 2017 draft EDC minutes • August 15, 2017 HRA minutes • August 16, 20'l7 Pequot La[ces TCI Steering Committee minutes 10.1. Pedestrian Directory Signs License & Maintenance Agreement Nancy ltllalecha expEained the current agreement in place with Jessie .lane's Signs and Graphics, LLC for the installation and maintenance of pedestrian directory signage in the downtown area of the City. Ms. Malecha noted that she was contacted by Community Action of Pequot Lakes with their interest in taking over this project as it has been at a stalemate. Jessie Nornberg of Jessie Jane's Signs and Graphics stated that she would need to recover the cost that she has expended thus far with this project and offered a buyout price of$1,900. Ms. Nomberg agreed that this has become a stagnant project and stated it was her understanding that Community Action would be responsible for the marketing of these signs. Ms. Nornberg added that she would like to retain this sign project and work with Community Action.
