PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION <br /> THURSDAY, AUGUST 10, 2017 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Chair Ronning, Commissioners Bryan, Graham, Jurchen, Nagel, <br /> Pearson and Sjoblad <br /> Members Absent: None <br /> Also Present: Mike Loven, Public Works Supervisor; Dawn Bittner, Zoning <br /> Specialist; Mayor Nancy Adams; and Barb Merritt, Community <br /> Action <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Chair Ronning called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> Barb Merritt from Community Action was added to the Agenda as Number 4 and <br /> Chair Ronning added budget comments and follow-up of the Minutes from the <br /> last meeting under Other Business. <br /> COMMISSIONER NAGEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA, AS <br /> AMENDED. COMMlSSIONER PEARSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 3. Park Commission Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER GRAHAM MO�fED TO APPROVE THE JULY 13, 2017 PARK <br /> CQIVIMISSI4N MINUTES. COMMISSIONER BRYAN SECONDED THE <br /> Iy1fOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 4. Communitv Action <br /> Barb Merriit explained Community Action contacted an artist to design new <br /> flower planfiers in the shape of a bobber to replace the barrels. Community <br /> Action will donate them to the City. If the City approves the concept this fall the <br /> new planters will be ready for planting next spring. The new planters are <br /> portable. It was the consensus of the Park Commission to order 15 planters. <br /> COMMISSIONER BRYAN MOVED TO RECOMMEND THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ACCEPT THE DONATION OF BOBBER PLANTERS FROM COMMUNITY <br /> ACTION. COMMISSIONER GRAHAM SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 5. Roundabouts Landscaping - Update <br />
