PEQUOT LAKES COMMUNITY LIBRARY BOARD POLICY <br /> DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND VANDALI5M POLICY <br /> Revised: June 20,2017 <br /> Library users are expected to conduct themselves appropriately when using Library facilities and <br /> resources—to browse and select materials for recreational,work-related, or educational needs;to <br /> study, to consult and read reference books and periodicals; to listen to and/or watch audiovisual <br /> materials; to borrow circulating materials for specific loan periods;to use electronic resources; to <br /> attend programs. <br /> To ensure that those using the Library for appropriate purposes may enjoy an atmosphere <br /> conducive to such use and to protect Library property, the Pequot Lakes Library will suspend use <br /> of its services and facilities to persons who engage in boisterous and noisy conduct which disrupts <br /> or disturbs legitimate use, to persons who commit acts of vandalism to library materials and <br /> property, and to those who abuse borrowing or use privileges. <br /> Disorderly conduct also includes the use of tobacco products, panhandling, soliciting and the <br /> consumption of food or bevera.ges in the Library. <br /> When necessary, the Library will refer ina.ppropriate conduct to the proper authorities for legal <br /> action in accordance with Minnesota.Statutes 609.541, 609.595, and 609.72. <br /> 38 <br />
