Presentations <br /> 5.1. Highway 371 Update <br /> Representatives from Mathiowetz Constrvction were not present. <br /> 5.2. Trailside Park Master Plan Phase 1 Update <br /> Luke Sydow from SAS+Associates informed the Eouncil that there are <br /> items that need to be discussed to fina[ize the Trailside Park Master Plan - <br /> Phase 1: <br /> • Playground location, <br /> • Publiclprivate parking lot, <br /> • Southwest connection, <br /> • Elements to be included, and <br /> • Team selection. <br /> Cou�cil discussion ensued regarding safety concerns on the pond location <br /> in relafiion to the pfayground, the shared parking lot with a business owner, <br /> and the southwest connection being a safe route to school. Mayor Adams <br /> volunteered to contact the business owner regarding the shared parking <br /> lot on the north end of the Park. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO ACCEPT THE MASTER <br /> PLAN WITHOUT THE RELOCATION OF THE PLAYGROUND. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-1. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON OPPOSED. <br /> Mr. Sydow explained the elements that are included in Phase 1 of <br /> Trailside Park project which include the splash park, flags display, walks, <br /> parking, pond, street closures, relocation of the Veterans plaza, warming <br />
