To become a more attractive and healthy destination for residents, visitors, businesses, <br />and a skilled workforce. <br />Start Year One <br /> <br />1. Expand and communicate year-round recreation activities and opportunities (Ice Rink:6, <br />Sliding Hill:2, Skate park:2, XC Skiing:3) (19) <br />2. Utilize community facilities/activities we have, communicate-collaborate- expand (19) <br />3. Connecting trail systems and create a safe, walkable and bike-able community (14) <br /> <br /> Start Year Two? <br />4. Support GLAPA and the arts (1) <br />10. Programs connecting seniors to youth (1) <br /> <br />There was also strong interest expressed at the community meeting to build a <br />community center. This was not embraced as practical by the core team due to <br />the high cost and long timelines involved. This may be further investigated in <br />the future if there appears to be a strong need and the willingness to embrace <br />the local cost to build and sustain such a facility. <br /> <br />
