MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br />City Clerk's Office <br />October, 2011 <br />City Council Meeting <br />October 5. 2011. Regular Meeting <br />• Closed Clerk's Office on the Day after Thanksgiving <br />• Made a payment of $2,000 to the Library Building Fund Loan <br />• Transferred a copy machine from the Police Department to the Fire Department <br />• Authorized Street Department to sell the John Deere Tractor <br />• Accepted budget committee recommendations to reduce the levy <br />• Adopted Ordinance 11 -06 amending Chapter 17 of the City Code relating to <br />public use <br />• Authorized the purchase of a thermal imaging camera for the Fire Department <br />• Accepted a grant for the purchase of a hydraulic ram for the Fire Department <br />• Accepted a quote from Ready Watt Electric for the purchase of a civil defense <br />siren <br />• Approved agreement for water /wastewater services with Pine River Area Sanitary <br />District <br />• Approved an equipment use agreement for water and wastewater equipment <br />between the City of Pequot Lakes and PRASD <br />• Formed a committee to consider preliminary plans for Highway 11 <br />• Authorized the development of a five -year road plan <br />• Accepted the contract and health insurance rates for 2012 with Healthpartners <br />• Amended the City's Cell Phone Policy <br />Park Commission — October 13, 2011 <br />• Minutes are attached. The Park Commission continues discussions on a Master <br />Park Plan for the City and has invited Chuck Marohn to the next Park <br />Commission meeting. <br />• The Commission reviewed a complaint received about the Field of Dreams Park. <br />The Commission made a motion to continue planting trees in the park to create a <br />natural buffer. <br />Economic Development Commission — October 18, 2011 <br />• Council Member Ryan attended the EDC meeting to discuss WAC /SAC and <br />ERUs. The EDC has requested the City Staff to bring a draft ordinance or policy <br />relating the WAC /SAC to the next EDC meeting. <br />• Lime Greenery TIF 1 -9 Default — The EDC recommended that the Council <br />consider reassigning the TIF if a retail company purchases the property. <br />\..
