June 29, 2017 letter to Jan Lee regarding overall appearance of property. <br /> C. Council Meeting Notes: <br /> An excerpt from the July 6 Council Minutes are included. <br /> 4. Open Forum <br /> Maury Graham, 5988 North Sluetter Road, Pequot Lakes, addressed the <br /> Council. Mr. Graham requested Council consideration to pave North Sluetter <br /> Road, presented options that could possibly decrease the cost of paving the <br /> Road, and requested the City Attorney be contacted to verify the percentage <br /> of resident participation needed to initiate the special assessment petition to <br /> pave the Road. Mayor Adams asked Nancy Malecha to contact the City <br /> Attorney. <br /> 6.2. Rezone Request <br /> Dawn Bittner explained the Planning Commission is unanimously <br /> recommending the rezoning of a parcel owned by Dennis Reschke from <br /> Shoreline Residential to Rural Residential based on 14 Findings of Fact. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AMEND THE OFFICIAL <br /> ZONING MAP AS OUTLINED IN THE ORDINANCE AMENDMENT. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br /> SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 17-11. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.3. Service Signs Along Patriot Avenue <br /> Mayor Adams requested the Council give the Planning Commission a <br /> directive to review City land use ordinances and come up with a plan for <br /> directional service signs along Patriot Avenue. Mayor Adams noted that <br /> some businesses who have requested specific service signs along Highway <br /> 371 may also want directional service signs. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO DIRECT THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO <br /> REVIEW CITY LAND USE ORDINANCES AND BRING FORTH A <br /> RECOMMENDATION FOR A DIRECTIONAL SERVICE SIGNAGE PLAN <br /> BY THE SEPTEMBER 5TH CITY COUNCIL MEETING AND FURTHER <br /> July 20, 2017 Staff Report Page 2 <br />
