MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br />City Clerk's Office <br />September, 2011 <br />City Council Meeting <br />September 6, 2011, Regular Meeting <br />• Entered into a memorandum of understanding with the School District <br />• Notified Lime Greenery that they are in default of the TIF Agreement for TIF <br />District 1 -9 <br />• Renewed the Spray Irrigation Land Use Lease <br />• Adopted a social host ordinance <br />• Adopted a new cell phone policy <br />• Adopted a resolution setting the preliminary tax levies <br />• Set meeting date of September 6t' to receive public input on the 2012 Budget <br />• Authorized the City to proceed with a grant application to seal a well <br />• Renewed the Animal Control Services Agreement with Hannahs <br />• Authorized the Chief to advertise for part time officers <br />• Increased the wage for part time officers <br />• Entered into a Police School liaison agreement for the 2011 -2012 school year <br />• Authorized the Police Chief to attend the IACP Conference <br />Park Commission — September 8, 2011 <br />• Minutes are attached. The Park Commission is interested in working on a Master <br />Park Plan for the City. The Commission is gathering information from other cities <br />and is working with the Planning Commission in its efforts toward the same goal. <br />Economic Development Commission — September 20, 2011 <br />• The EDC invited Landis Gyr to give a presentation about the Company. <br />HRA —August 16, 2011 <br />• Minutes are attached. <br />Budgets - The Budget Committee met to consider cuts to the preliminary levy. <br />Department Heads and Council Members were requested to give input on possible cuts to <br />help lower the budget. The Budget Committee will be presenting recommended budget <br />cuts to the City Council. <br />TIF 1 -9 - Line Greenery — The City Attorney has sent a letter of default to Lime <br />Greenery. There is a 30 day acknowledgement period. After the 30 day waiting period is <br />acknowledged, this will be brought back to the City Council for further direction. <br />Government Drive— Springsted has presented an update on the financials for financing <br />Government Drive. The new figures include other street projects recommended by Mike <br />Loven. The City Council will be discussing this at the October Council meeting. <br />
