M
ORM
In addition to the planning for mainline sections of CSAH 11, there are three major study subareas that
we anticipate will need focused attention. These focused study areas are as follows:
Subarea 1: Eagle View Elementary School — Site Accessibility
Subarea 2: Trail Connection between Pequot Lakes and Breezy Point
Subarea 3: Ackerson — Buschmann Road Alternative
Task Force Meetings
Periodically through the study, CSAH 11 Task Force Meetings will be held. The Task Force will be
comprised of selected technical and policy- making members from the agencies of Crow Wing County,
Breezy Point, Pequot Lakes, Ideal Township, Jenkins Township and ISD #186. Input from public safety
officials and local law enforcement will also be instrumental to the success of the study. The consulting
firm of Bolton & Menk has been selected to facilitate the meetings and complete the Corridor Study.
The purpose of these meetings is to capture your vision for CSAH 11 and to confirm future land uses and
development desires along the corridor. The first meeting will orient the group to the project and
collect information on issues, concerns and desires for future improvements. The second meeting will
present a draft version of the vision and help the partners prepare necessary refinements to create a
final vision. The final vision will be a collaborative product that will be locally- sponsored and augmented
by an alternatives evaluation process that will support future funding applications. A total of four task
force meetings are anticipated to be held throughout the study process.
As a local partner and stakeholder in the planning of CSAH 11, we are requesting that you select an
individual to serve on this task force and provide their name to our office by September 23. In addition,
we request that both Cities also encourage one member of your Police Departments to serve on the task
force. The first meeting will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the City of
Pequot Lakes City Hall located at 4638 County Road 11, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472. Additional meetings
will occur through the winter as schedules and the process permits. The meeting times will be
announced at least two weeks in advance of the meeting dates. Please contact Luke Wehseler of our
office at 218.824.1110 or via email at luke.wehseler @co.crow - wing.mn.us if you have any questions
regarding the information contained herein. Thank you for your interest and participation in the study.
PROPOSED TASK FORCE PARTICIPANTS
Name Representing
Robert Hall Crow Wing County
Luke Wehseler
Crow Wing County
Phil Martin
Bolton & Menk
Eric Johnson
Bolton & Menk
To be selected
City of Pequot Lakes
To be selected
Pequot Lakes Police Dept.
Name
To be selected
To be selected
To be selected
To be selected
To be selected
Representing
Ideal Township
Jenkins Township
ISD #186
City of Breezy Point
Breezy Point Police Dept.
