Proposal for Design Services WIDSETH Pequot Lakes New Maintenance Facility June 7, 2017 SMITH Page 2 of 3 NOLTING Construction Documents: • Preparation of documents(final plans and specifications)to be used for bidding and permitting. • Finalize opinion of probable construction costs. • At the conclusion of the Construction Document phase,we will provide final sets of Construction Documents as well as the final opinion of probable construction costs. • Submit documents to the appropriate permitting agencies. Bidding: • Assist City in preparation of advertisement for bids • Post project on QuestCDN (Construction Data Network)bidding website. • Field bidder questions and prepare Addendums. • Facilitate public opening of bids. • Make bid recommendation and assist in preparation of construction contracts. Construction Administration: • Make regular visits to the construction site for progress meeting and/or to observe construction (not full time observation). • Review of shop drawings. • Preparation of change directives and/or proposal requests. • Review and approve contractor's monthly payment applications. • Close out project upon completion. Post-Construction: • Ten month warranty walk-through. WSN proposes to complete the above scope of services,which includes architectural with civil,structural, mechanical and electrical engineering,for the lump sum amount of$73,400. Soil borings to determine soil capacity for engineering the building structure and paved areas will be provided by the City. We will assist the City in hiring a soil boring/geo-technical firm. We estimate it will take two months to complete the construction documents from the kick-off meeting.This can vary though, depending on meeting schedules, review times, etc. To accomplish the above services in the indicated time frame and to keep the overall process moving forward,we are proposing that the Core Team continue to represent the City through the completion of the project. It is also our understanding that design, specifications, and bidding for the fabric dome salt storage shelter will be bid separately from the other structures and site work. We, of course,will coordinate our efforts with the City's work on this part of the project. If you have questions or would like further information regarding our proposal, please contact us.
