Proposal for Design Services WIDSETH <br /> Pequot Lakes New Maintenance Facility <br /> June 7, 2017 SMITH <br /> Page 2 of 3 NOLTING <br /> Construction Documents: <br /> • Preparation of documents(final plans and specifications)to be used for bidding and permitting. <br /> • Finalize opinion of probable construction costs. <br /> • At the conclusion of the Construction Document phase,we will provide final sets of Construction Documents <br /> as well as the final opinion of probable construction costs. <br /> • Submit documents to the appropriate permitting agencies. <br /> Bidding: <br /> • Assist City in preparation of advertisement for bids <br /> • Post project on QuestCDN (Construction Data Network)bidding website. <br /> • Field bidder questions and prepare Addendums. <br /> • Facilitate public opening of bids. <br /> • Make bid recommendation and assist in preparation of construction contracts. <br /> Construction Administration: <br /> • Make regular visits to the construction site for progress meeting and/or to observe construction (not full time <br /> observation). <br /> • Review of shop drawings. <br /> • Preparation of change directives and/or proposal requests. <br /> • Review and approve contractor's monthly payment applications. <br /> • Close out project upon completion. <br /> Post-Construction: <br /> • Ten month warranty walk-through. <br /> WSN proposes to complete the above scope of services,which includes architectural with civil,structural, mechanical <br /> and electrical engineering,for the lump sum amount of$73,400. <br /> Soil borings to determine soil capacity for engineering the building structure and paved areas will be provided by the City. <br /> We will assist the City in hiring a soil boring/geo-technical firm. <br /> We estimate it will take two months to complete the construction documents from the kick-off meeting.This can vary <br /> though, depending on meeting schedules, review times, etc. To accomplish the above services in the indicated time <br /> frame and to keep the overall process moving forward,we are proposing that the Core Team continue to represent the <br /> City through the completion of the project. <br /> It is also our understanding that design, specifications, and bidding for the fabric dome salt storage shelter will be bid <br /> separately from the other structures and site work.
