• Section 17-7.4 requires "(a)11 structures shall be properly maintained in a clean <br /> and acceptable manner so as not to constitute a menace to the public health, <br /> safety, convenience, general welfare,property values, and aesthetics" . . . and that <br /> "(a)ll landscaping shall be properly maintained as to preserve planting in a live <br /> state and free of noxious weeds." <br /> • Section 17-7.5 (B) requires that"all materials and equipment shall be stored <br /> within a building or fully screened so as not to be visible from adjoining <br /> properties." <br /> • Section 17-7.6 prohibits land uses that have"a strong negative visual impact or <br /> offends the morals or violates the standards of the City." <br /> • Section 17-7.7 requires that"(a)11 solid waste shall be disposed of in accordance <br /> with the standards of Crow Wing County." <br /> • Section 17-7.5 (D) requires"abandoned motor vehicles shall be stored within a <br /> structure or completely screened from view from adjacent properties and right- <br /> of-way." <br /> • Section 17-5.6 (4 A) requires no more than"a recreational vehicle is allowed". <br /> In addition,the conditions on your Property described above constitute a public <br /> nuisance under the following provisions in Chapter 7.2 of the Code,which provides that <br /> anyone who maintains such conditions is guilty of a misdemeanor: <br /> • Any condition"which unreasonably annoys, injures, or endangers the safety, <br /> health, morals, comfort, or repose of any considerable number of members of the <br /> public(City Code 7-2.1); <br /> • Accumulations of manure, refuse, or other debris (City Code 7-2.2); <br /> • Accumulations in the open of discarded or disused machinery,household <br /> appliances, automobile bodies, or other material, in a manner conductive to the <br /> harboring of rats,mice, snakes, or vermin, or the rank growth of vegetation <br /> among the items so accumulated, or in a manner creating fire,health, or safety <br /> hazards from such accumulation (City Code 7-2.4); <br /> • Other conditions or things which are likely to cause injury to the person or <br /> property of anyone (City Code 7-2.4). <br /> Enforcement/Penalty <br /> Please be advised that pursuant to City Code Section 17-12.1,violation of any provision <br /> of Chapter 17 of City Code shall be considered either an administrative offense subject to <br /> an administrative fine; a criminal offense; or a civil offense subject to enforcement <br /> through civil remedies, including the abatement procedure described below. Each act of <br /> violation in every calendar day upon which said violation occurs or continues may be <br /> considered a separate offense. Further, a person who violates this Code is guilty of a <br /> misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof may be punished by a fine of not more than <br /> $1000.00 and/or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days, or both. <br /> 2 <br />
