Rezone Request <br /> Dawn Bittner explained the Planning Commission is unanimously <br /> recommending the rezoning of 48 publically-owned parcels to the Public <br /> zoning classification based on 17 Findings of Fact. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO AMEND THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS <br /> OUTLINED IN THE ORDINANCE AMENDMENT. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-1. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON OPPOSED. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br /> SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 17-06. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.5. Waive Permit Fee <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO WAIVE THE $50 PERMIT <br /> EXTENSION FEE FOR LAKES AREA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.2. Call Special Meeting for June 6th <br /> Nancy Malecha noted the City has served two notices of immediate <br /> corrective action to a property owners for violating the City Code and <br /> requested the Council hold a special meeting on June 6th to consider the <br /> public nuisance orders. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING <br /> OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR JUNE 6, 2017 AT 5:30 P.M. TO CONSIDER <br /> ADOPTING ORDERS DECLARING PROPERTIES TO BE PUBLIC <br /> NUISANCES. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> D. Potential Violations/Enforcement Actions: The City <br /> Staff is currently working on the following potential violations/enforcement <br /> actions. We will report on each of these each month until they are resolved to the <br /> satisfaction of the Planning Commission. <br /> ➢ Virgil Dahl —The Notice of Immediate Corrective Action Required letter <br /> sent. Public Nuisance Hearing June 6. (10/06 to present) <br /> ➢ John and Barbara Derksen— Exterior storage.
