AUTHORIZATION TO SELL JOHN DEERE TRACTOR <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5 -0. <br />3.2. PAYMENT OF BILLS <br />Council Member Akerson questioned payments regarding the Police <br />Department, the Clerk's Office, copies, General Building, office supplies, <br />attorney, and the band shelter. Council Member Ryan questioned a bill to <br />Hart and D.G. Towing and had a question on squad car tire standards. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE THE CHECK <br />REGISTER. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />4. Open Forum <br />The Clerk read a letter as requested by resident Jack Schmidt. The Mayor <br />noted that this issue is on the Planning Commission's October agenda. <br />The Mayor stated that she will respond to Jack Schmidt's concern. Council <br />Member Ryan suggested that the Park Commission look at the <br />maintenance of Field of Dreams. The Mayor also suggested that the <br />Planning Commission review the concerns with the park and the violation <br />standards in the City Code. <br />5.1. Presentation from Sheriff Dahl <br />Sheriff Todd Dahl provided the Council with an update on current <br />programs in the Sheriff's office. Council Member Ryan questioned whether <br />the County has a drug dog. He explained that the City's dog will soon be <br />retiring. Sheriff Dahl noted that the County no longer has a canine <br />program however there are dogs in other cities of the County such as <br />�. Brainerd and Baxter which could be used for issues in other communities. <br />
