Section 17-7.7 Sanitation Standards (1)states "All solid waste shall be disposed of in
accordance with the standards of Crow Wing County."
Police Chief Klang made a personal visit May 13, 2014 to discuss the unsightly condition
of your yard and the many items stored outside the garage. I then sent you a letter June
5, 2014 acknowledging your efforts to bring your property into compliance and listed
several items that needed your attention. As I drove past your property today, I would
have to say that the only item you have addressed was mowing the lawn and there
appears to be additional items outside.
As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the City Code, we would like to make
one final offer to work with you to correct this situation. We are requesting that by
no later than July 25, 2014 you—
1. Remove or properly store ALL items currently stored outside;
2. Move recreational vehicle ten(10)feet from lot line;
3. Dispose of or burn the pile of brush/branches.
Failure to comply with the City Code by July 25, 2014 will prompt us to forward this
matter to the City Attorney.
Having debris and items scattered about your property is not only an eyesore to the rest
of the community, it is a health and safety issue that we take very seriously. Please
understand our seriousness and commitment to uphold the City Code. We hope you will
take this opportunity to work with us and resolve this matter.
Sincerely,
Dawn Bittner
Zoning Administrator
C: Planning Commission
Police Chief Klang
Flaherty and Hood, City Attorneys
