9.3. Skateboard Park Mayor Adams informed the Council that a subcommittee of the Park Commission has been meeting with students and parents who are interested in having a skateboard park in Pequot Lakes. Included in the research for the project was an informal poll at the Pequot Lakes Middle School which resulted in 210 students interested and excited about this park idea. Council Member Pederson questioned if locations for the skateboard park have been considered. Mayor Adams noted the location they are considering is the south parking lot at City Hall due to the close proximity to the Police Department. She explained the City of Crosby stated that the success of their skateboard park is a result of the location. MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE PAYMENT TO 3RD LAIR SKATEPARK IN THE AMOUNT OF $250 FOR CONCEPTUAL SKATE PARK DESIGNS TO BE PAID FROM THE FUND BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 10.2.C.Proposed Maintenance Facility Site Mayor Adams reviewed the Proposed Maintenance Facility Site map with the Council. This map notes the manhole location, Morehouse Drive extension, proposed maintenance facility and salt shed location, and the water and wastewater connection in relation to the City's former spray irrigation field. Council discussion ensued on the possibilities for the northerly portion of the City Hall property in relation to buildability, visual aesthetics, and Bergquist Drive connectivity.
