Nathan Walberg,Used Car Lot- Discussion <br /> Mr. Burslie explained the Staff Report. Mr.Walberg was present. Mr. Burslie read <br /> through the Conditions and explained the highlighted areas on the site plan were the <br /> areas to park cars for sale. There are now numerous cars on the property, many of them <br /> not on the highlighted areas.`When asked by Mr. Burslie if he agreed there were too <br /> many cars, Mr. Walberg stated he didn't believe any other businesses in Pequot were <br /> limited to inventory. <br /> Mr. Burslie read Condition#7 regarding highlighted areas on site plan,the site plan <br /> provided by Mr. Walberg with his application. The City agreed to have vehicles in the <br /> highlighted areas. <br /> Mr.Walberg explained used car sales are very high this time of year with people <br /> spending their income tax refunds. This is when you typically bring in more vehicles. <br /> There are about 100 vehicles now. Not all of them are drivable. His son is a mechanic <br /> and will sometimes replace transmissions. <br /> Planning Commission Member Mortenson was concerned with hazardous waste. He <br /> stated there appeared to be some leakage and there were a lot of cars in the woods and <br /> he was concerned with leaks being close to the lake. <br /> Council Member Loukota stated the site plan indicates the cars could go back about 36o <br /> feet. Mr.Walberg stated Condition #1 states they can go back 600 feet.
