City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> To: Mayor and City Council Members <br /> From: Pequot Lakes Park Commission <br /> Date: February 13, 2017 <br /> Re: Street Quadrant Improvements <br /> The Park Commission met for their regular monthly meeting February 9th and per City <br /> Council request, offer the following comments/suggestions for street improvements in <br /> the designated street quadrant. <br /> • Improvements to Trailside Park drive what happens with the rest of the <br /> downtown area; <br /> • Foot traffic will make paths for future sidewalks; <br /> • To make suggestions on this area is premature until we see how traffic patterns <br /> change with the new traffic flow; <br /> • The City needs to keep in mind connectivity between attributes; <br /> • Street lights and sidewalks with benches invite people down a street; <br /> • Old Highway 371 needs to be resurfaced. <br /> 1 <br />
