City Council Minutes <br /> January 17,2017 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> Mayor Adams requested feedback from Council Members regarding <br /> Trailside Park Master Plan option A and B. No further feedback was <br /> received. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO ACCEPT TRAILSIDE <br /> PARK MASTER PLAN OPTION A. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> Matthew Daly from SAS+Associates presented the Council and Park <br /> Commission with examples of various themes for park shelters, signage, <br /> benches, trash receptacles, paving treatments, lighting, park fences, and <br /> plantings. He noted that these are things to consider as the City moves <br /> forward with further planning discussions. <br /> Mayor Adams stated that a Thriving Communities Initiative task force will <br /> be assembled next week that will also focus on a goal to further develop <br /> the town center and Trailside Park as a unifying feature. She noted that <br /> this task force could be a community subcommittee to bring forth <br /> recommendations on the Park plan. <br /> Council Member Pederson requested clarification on how the involvement <br /> of the task force would work with the Park Commission and the City <br /> Council. Mayor Adams clarified the task force could also consist of a few <br /> members from the Park Commission and City Council that would bring <br /> forth recommendations for the Park Commission and City Council to <br /> consider. <br /> 4. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> MOVED TO ADJOURN. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION.
