c. Transition Zone Minimum Lot Size: Mr. Burslie explained the Staff Report. The minimum lot size could be changed to a 2.5 acre minimum which would be a reasonable lot size. The minimum lot size by plat is 1 acre,but for a Metes and Bounds Subdivision it is 5 acres. We could make it just one lot size no matter how you create it. Staff was directed to bring this back next month as an ordinance amendment. d. Liaisons at Council Meetings Dawn Bittner explained it has been beneficial to have Council Members attend Planning Commission Meetings, as well as have Planning Commission Member attend City Council Meetings. This practice helps these two bodies better understand the roles of the other. The Schedule is included in the packets. If you are unable to attend your scheduled meeting,please trade with someone else. e. Electronic Packets in 2017 Dawn Bittner explained the Staff Report. Planning Commission Member Wilson asked if there might be a company that would sell this type of technology at a reduced cost to governments. Bittner will check if there is anything available and for what cost. It was suggested that it would be beneficial to have the Agenda and maps projected on the screen. Council Member Akerson wondered if our band was big enough to have 8 to 10 devices on at the same time. Planning Commission Members Norton and Mortenson requested no paper copy of the packet in February. Bittner will provide more information at an upcoming meeting. OLD BUSINESS: FUTURE LAND USE MAP Mr. Burslie explained the Staff Report. The following changes were requested: • The wetland types can be grouped into one category and can be shown as dots; don't differentiate between the types. • ROW—list as State or Local; State should be white background with a pattern. • County Road ii —label location with a line and name, not ROW; • Add a black line on the outside edge of the shoreline buffer so it's easy to differentiate between it and the adjacent classifications.
