Streamlining and simplifying the subdivision process for the Industrial Park will
position Pequot Lakes with the most streamlined, flexible and business - friendly
land development process in Crow Wing County.
The Planning Commission is recommending that the Ordinance
Amendment be approved.
2) Tax Forfeited Lands. Crow Wing County contacted the City regarding two
tracts of land that are tax forfeited. The County would like a response from the
City on these two tracts on classifying them as "Non- Conservation" and for the
future sale of the lots.
The first of the subject properties is described as Lot 52, Block 6 of Pequot Shady
Shores will the other is described as Lot 19, Block io of Pequot Shady Shores
(Refer to the attached letter for location maps).
Both of the subject properties are located within the Urban Residential Zoning
District. Staff has reviewed the best available data on these properties and finds
nothing that would prohibit their development for the uses as zoned.
Additionally, the properties carry no significant value as public property and are
not part of any master plan for parks or public facilities.
The Planning Commission finds no reason why these properties
should not be sold at auction and recommend that they be listed as
"non- conservation ".
I plan to be in attendance at your next meeting.
