MW City Council Minutes July 5, 2011 Page 4 COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO REMOVE FROM THE TABLE THE MOTION REFERRING TO THE JOB EVALUATION COMMITTEE'S RECOMMENDATION REGARDING THE WATER/WASTEWATER OPERATOR. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. The Mayor called for the vote on the motion that was just removed from the table. THE MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. 9.213. Consider Advertising for the Position of Water/Wastewater Position Mike Loven explained that the Committee is recommending postponing advertising for the position at least until the Job Evaluation Committee can thoroughly review the job points, pay scale, and outside equity. He also noted that things are working well with Pine River Area Sanitary District. It was the consensus of the Council to not advertise for the position at this time. The Council requested Mike Loven to assess and evaluate the situation while contracting with PRASD and then review with the Council at a later date. 10. Maintenance Department Monthly Report Nothing to report. 10.1A. Appointment of Public Works Supervisor The Clerk noted that the Job Evaluation Committee reviewed the Public Works Supervisor job description and job points. She stated that the job description was reviewed in December, 2010, therefore, the Committee did not feel it was necessary to review the job description at this time. The Clerk stated that if Mike Loven is appointed as the Public Works Supervisor, the Committee is recommending that the change become effective July 11, 2011, at Step 10 of the pay scale ($25.66). COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPOINT MIKE LOVEN AS THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR EFFECTIVE JULY 11, 2011 AT STEP 10 OF THE PAY SCALE ($25.66 PER HOUR). COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION.
