Adopted: 5/3/2005 <br />Amended: 11 /6/2007 <br />Amended: 12/7/2010 <br />City of Pequot Lakes <br />Job Description <br />Job Title: Water/Wastewater Operator <br />Department: Public Works <br />Supervisor: Public Works Supervisor <br />Positions Supervised: None <br />Position Summary: <br />Works under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor performing a variety of tasks <br />including operation of the City's sanitary sewer system, municipal water system, meter <br />reading, pond and irrigation system, mowing, plowing, and general maintenance <br />throughout the Citv. <br />Job Duties: <br />1. Perform ongoing maintenance activities. <br />A. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all components of the <br />water /wastewater treatment system <br />AB. Perform preventative maintenance for sewer ponds, lift stations, sewer <br />lines, city wells, pumps, control panels, water lines, machinery and <br />equipment <br />BC. Inspect and assist in installation of water and sewer service lines <br />D. Perform and supervise in the installation of service connections for the <br />City sanitary sewer and municipal water <br />GE. Read water meters and assist with the installation and maintenance of <br />water meters <br />wastewater- faeflity and lift stafiens Work in cooperation with the Public <br />Works Department to maintain the grounds and buildings of the City <br />EG.
