SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> �, BOARD OF REVIEW <br /> THURSDAY, MAY 10, 2007 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor C. Malecha, Council Members Nagel, Sjoblad, and <br /> Ryan <br /> Members Absent: Council Member Oraskovich <br /> Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk <br /> Also Present: Darrell Olson, County Assessor <br /> Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Malecha called the Board of Review to order at 10:00 a.m. <br /> The following individuals were heard regarding the 2007 property assessment: <br /> 1. Robert Swanson <br /> Mr. Swanson noted that his neighbor's yard is in violation of the City <br /> Ordinance in that there is a lot of junk and outside storage. He noted that <br /> this devalues his property. <br /> The Council directed the Planning and Zoning Staff and Police Chief to <br /> meet with the property owner to get the property cleaned up and in <br /> compliance with City Ordinances. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED THAT ALL PROPERTIES <br /> ADJACENT TO THE DAHL PROPERTY HAVE THEIR PROPERTY <br /> VALUES FROZEN AT THE 2006 MARKET VALUE UNTIL THE DAHL <br /> PROPERTY IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH CITY ORDINANCES. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4- <br /> 0. <br /> Council Member Ryan asked that an update be provided to the City <br /> Council regarding this issue. <br /> 2. Raymond Smith <br />
