March 6, 2007 WIDSETH SMITH MOLTING The Honorable Mayor and City Council City of Pequot Lakes 4368 County Road 11 Pequot Lakes, MN 56472 RE: Engineering Services Proposal South Oak Street Improvements— North Portion Dear Mayor and Members of the Council: The City of Pequot Lakes is considering reconstruction of a portion of South Oak Street, from Brown Street to West Lake Street, as a part of its annual road construction program. WSN has previously provided the City with an engineering services proposal for roadway and storm drainage improvements on the entire length of South Oak Street, including the Marshall and Swift Street areas. This proposal is for services associated with the more limited scope (north "half") of the South Oak Street project proposed by the City. As previously authorized by the City, a field topographic survey and feasibility report have been completed for the South Oak Street project. We anticipate coordinating this project as a bidding option with the previously-approved Gravdahl Drive and Inland Trails projects. In order to prepare the revised project for bidding, WSN proposes the following scope of services: Tasks 1. Final Design & Construction Documents Prepare final plans, specifications, and an opinion of probable construction cost. Prepare Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Stormwater Permit as well as the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Meet with City personnel for review. Finalize plans and specifications based on City reviews.
