10.2. Peguot Lakes Sanitation — Request for Curbside Recycling COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO TABLE THIS ITEM TO THE MAY 1, 2007, COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 8.1. Water/Wastewater Rate Study COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO TABLE THIS ITEM TO THE APRIL 17TH COUNCIL MEETING. MAYOR MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 7. Fire Chief Report Written report by Chief Tom Nelson. 7.1. Expansion of Service Area for Pelican Township Mayor Malecha noted that Pelican Township has requested the Pequot Lakes Fire Department to expand its service in the Pelican Township area. The Clerk noted that the Township is aware of the cost and that the service will begin at the normal contract renewal time of May 1, 2007. COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO EXPAND THE FIRE SERVICE AREA IN PELICAN TOWNSHIP. MAYOR MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 6.5. Wellhead Manager Title The Clerk noted that the title will require Dawn to add a number of responsibilities to her job description. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPOINT DAWN BITTNER AS THE WELLHEAD PROTECTION MANAGER. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 6.6. Consider Hiring Consultant for Financial Analysis for Highway 371 The Mayor noted that the Council had reviewed a proposal for a financial study relating to the economic impact of the Highway 371 alternative route during the Highway 371 meeting prior to the Council meeting. The Council and Planning Commission also discussed the possibility of extending the study to include the through town route in order to get an accurate comparison of both routes.
